Author Biography

Emma Petersen was born and raised in London, where she now lives and works as a cookbook author and recipe developer. Before food became her full-time career, Emma trained and worked as a finance lawyer in the City, a path that shaped her work ethic but ultimately led her to question what ‘healthy’ really meant.

In 2016 she began sharing balanced, flavour-first recipes online, quickly building a community drawn to her food. Her recipes focus on protein, fibre and satisfying flavours, proving that nourishing food should never feel restrictive or joyless. Her first book, Healthy-ish, became a Sunday Times bestseller, and her second book, Healthy-ish High Protein, continues her mission to make balanced eating accessible, flexible and genuinely delicious.

Alongside writing, Emma shares other aspects of her life online, documenting everything from travel to training for long-distance triathlons, reinforcing her belief that food, fitness and ambition can coexist without extremes.
