Book Description

Some stories are too small for the world to see — but too significant to ever be forgotten.

Little Life, Big Loss is a tender collection of real stories from parents who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby. Within these pages are stories of love, grief, shock, longing, silence, survival and the kind of motherhood and parenthood that continues long after goodbye.

This book was created for the parent who has sat in the quiet after loss and wondered if anyone could ever truly understand.

It was created for the family member or friend who wants to support someone they love, but does not know what to say.

It was created for the nurse, midwife, doctor, social worker, counsellor or support person who wants to better understand the human heart behind baby and infant loss.

And it was created for every little life whose story deserves to be honoured.

Through raw, honest and deeply moving chapters, the contributors of Little Life, Big Loss share the babies they carried, birthed, held, loved, lost and continue to remember. Their words are not here to offer neat answers or easy endings. They are here to offer witness.

To say: your grief is real.

Your baby mattered.

Your love still counts.

This is not just a book about loss. It is a book about love — the kind that begins before birth, survives beyond death and continues in every breath, memory, ritual and act of remembrance.

A portion of proceeds from Little Life, Big Loss will support Little Life Big Loss podcast production as well as hospital packs, helping families facing the unimaginable feel less alone in their earliest moments of grief.

For anyone who has loved a little life, lost too soon, this book is a soft place to land.
